Web Hosting is never enough

Web hosting is the physical place where your website and Internet technology is stored. Its security and effectiveness is critical to people accessing your website and enjoying a quick download, around the clock, every day. There are more issues to consider than price, as we will now explain.

Our Sydney Data Centre

You’ll easily find cheaper hosting! But before you sign up, take some of this wisdom on board.  We don’t do cheap for good reason! Firstly, we can’t compete with the money these mega-multinationals can throw around. Secondly, we do what most of them have no interest in doing: the personal and attentive things that a computer program can’t do. We ensure the focus remains on your long-term success, not merely the greedy short-term interests of a thousand shareholders.

Mere hosting might save you the price of a trip to Maccas, but if you mess up the administration, it might cost you a whole lot more!

We’re honest about what we do, what most don’t do and what you would probably prefer to focus on: running your business. There are website tasks and issues that matter however. Installing security updates, watching overages, overloaded server concerns, Google locale penalties and forgetting to enhance and updating your site are forgotten by many. Sometimes, and increasingly so, these can be expensive mistakes.

Why Host With Sites By Design?

ONE: Cheap hosting means you have to manage certain unavoidable administration tasks. Many tasks cannot yet be automated, but someone has to do it! Mere hosting might save you the price of a trip to Maccas, but if you mess up the administration, it might cost you a whole lot more. For example:

  • If you miss an important update your system can be vulnerable to script kiddies and hacking (23% of UK Uni’ students have hacked, 28% consider it to be easy and 32% think it cool).
  • If the server you are on has insufficient security, an attack on any site can affect your own.
  • If the server goes down and you lose business presence, there can be significant down time. Rest assured, the $4.99 a month clients are not their priority.
  • If you miss your licence reminder (ever missed an email?) your goodwill could be snatched up and held to ransom by someone securing your domain.
  • If you simply forget to update your content, Google may slap you down the ladder for inactivity.

TWO: Even a secure and technically healthy server strains under overcrowding. When 10,000 websites are vying for power and resources at the same time, something has to give. We ensure our servers are always operating well-undermaximum capacity. How many $4.99 a month accounts can you pack on to one server? We have no idea, we don’t do bottom shelf deals or deliver bottom shelf service!

THREE: As a local provider of web hosting in Australia, we also get Google love for being locally based. Even your website with its AU extension is ultimately a US or Asian entity if it is physically located elsewhere.

How many $4.99 a month accounts can you pack onto one server? We have no idea, we don’t do bottom shelf deals or deliver bottom shelf service!

FOUR: We own our servers (we aren’t re-selling space on someone else’s). This means if problems arise – and with technology that happens from time to time – we have full remote access and immediate responsive capacity. We do not rely on third party (or international) companies to resolve issues. This gives you greater stability, increased reliability and significant peace-of-mind.

FIVE: We don’t do hosting. We do business support. We take care of what most will not. Our clients love it because it works! We love it because it works!

Our offer to you comes in one of four forms. We provide three Business Support packages. Ultimately, we aim to see all our clients rise up into a place where they can invest in and enjoy the fruits of strategic Internet penetration. Our packages are for those who want to pursue online success, not merely own a website. Pursuing this success is our mutual focus and because they work, our clients like it and we like it too!
